About Us
The Weber County Commissioners established the Weber Fire District as a special service area in 1982. Before the District's formation, it was known as the
Weber County Fire Department.
The District serves the incorporated cities of
Farr West, Hooper, Huntsville, Marriott-Slaterville,
West Haven, Uintah, and the unincorporated areas of Weber County.

The District is committed to protecting and serving our diverse communities. Covering approximately 515 square miles and an estimated population of 65,464, The District provides emergency response, fire, and medical services, as well as planning, prevention, and education initiatives.

SERVICES

Fire Operations Division: This division offers rapid response to fire emergencies, ensuring swift and effective management of fire incidents.

Emergency and Non-Emergency Medical Services: Our medical services include first response, advanced ambulance care, and regional ALS paramedic squad services for both emergency and non-emergency situations.

Hazardous Material (HazMat) Teams: These teams respond promptly to hazardous material releases or potential threats, protecting people, property, and the environment.

Technical Rescue Teams: Equipped with specialized training and tools, these teams conduct emergency search and rescue operations in complex situations.

Wildland Division: Our highly trained professionals specialize in fighting wildfires and managing all-risk incidents. They provide essential resources, services, and mitigation for communities across local, state, and federal jurisdictions.

Fire Prevention Division: This division is responsible for code enforcement, plan reviews, permits, fire origin and cause investigations, and public education through our Safety Brigade.

Tactical SWAT Firefighter/Paramedics: As integral members of our county-wide law enforcement SWAT team, these firefighters bring dual expertise, enhancing the overall emergency response capabilities.​​
