About Us

Weber Fire District was formed as a special service area in 1982 by the Weber County Commissioners. Before the District's creation, it was known as the

Weber County Fire Department.

The District services the incorporated cities of

Farr West, Hooper, Huntsville, Marriott-Slaterville,

West Haven, Uintah, and the unincorporated regions of Weber County.

The District is committed to serving and safeguarding our diverse communities. It encompasses approximately 515 square miles and an estimated population of 65,464  providing emergency response, fire, and medical services, as well as planning, prevention, and education.

SERVICES

​

  • Fire Operations Division: This division offers rapid response to emergency fire incidents, ensuring swift and effective management.

  • Emergency and Non-Emergency Medical Services: Our medical services encompass first response, advanced ambulance care, and regional ALS paramedic squad services for both emergency and non-emergency situations.

  • Hazardous Material (HazMat) Teams: These teams promptly address hazardous material releases or potential releases to safeguard individuals, property, and the environment.

  • Technical Rescue Teams: Equipped with specialized training, personnel, and tools, these teams conduct emergency search and rescue operations.

  • Wildland Division: Our highly trained professionals are adept at tackling wildfires and all-risk incidents. They provide essential resources, services, and mitigation for communities across local, state, and federal jurisdictions.

  • Fire Prevention Division: Responsible for a range of tasks including code enforcement, plan reviews, permits, fire origin and cause investigations, and public education featuring our Safety Brigade.

  • Tactical SWAT Firefighter/Paramedics: Integral members of our county-wide law enforcement SWAT team, these individuals possess dual roles as skilled firefighters/paramedics, enhancing the overall emergency response capabilities.
